Choose Buy on the app’s page here, or the price button in the Store on Maniac OS. The checkout is run by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller (merchant of record). Use the same e-mail address as your Maniac ID, so the purchase lands in your account.

No. Every app is a one-time purchase. You pay once and keep using it, with no time limit.

Cards and other methods depending on your country. The checkout shows what’s available to you.

Lemon Squeezy e-mails you a receipt. VAT is worked out for your country at checkout, and businesses can enter their VAT number there.

Not at the moment. If an app turns out not to be right for you, you can ask for a refund within 14 days instead.

Check that you’re signed in on Maniac OS with the same e-mail address you used at checkout. If you received a licence key by e-mail, choose Store › Redeem Licence Key…. Still nothing? Write to support@maniaclab.app with your order number.

Your account for buying apps: just your e-mail address. There’s no password — each time you sign in, we e-mail you a 6-digit code. More about Maniac ID.

No. Maniac OS and its built-in apps work without any account. You only need a Maniac ID to buy and install paid apps.

Look in your spam or junk folder (and, in Gmail, the Promotions and Updates tabs), and check that the address is spelled correctly. A code is valid for 10 minutes; if it has expired, ask for a new one. If it still doesn’t arrive, write to support@maniaclab.app.

Yes. Write to support@maniaclab.app from your current address and tell us the new one; we’ll move your purchases.

On up to 5 PCs at a time, signed in with the same Maniac ID. Every app you’ve bought can be installed on each of them.

On the new PC, sign in with your Maniac ID (Settings or the Store), open Store › Purchased and choose Install next to each app. It’s activated for that PC automatically. If you’re giving the old PC away, choose Deauthorise This PC… on it first.

Free a place: in Settings › Maniac ID, choose Deauthorise… next to a PC you no longer use — you can do this from any of your PCs, so it also works for a PC that’s broken or gone. Deauthorise All… removes every PC at once and can be used once a year.

No. Sign in again and install your apps from Store › Purchased. If the PC appears twice in your account, deauthorise the old entry.

Each app’s licence is signed for one PC, and the app is encrypted for it. That protects the app and your data. On another of your PCs, just sign in and install it again.

Yes, within 14 days of buying. Write to support@maniaclab.app with your order number; Lemon Squeezy pays the refund back to your original payment method. See the refund policy.

Our licence server revokes the app’s licences straight away, and each of your PCs removes the licence the next time it connects to your Maniac ID. The app then no longer opens. Files you made with it stay on your PC.

Yes. Maniac OS and its built-in apps are free to download and use. Only some professional apps in the Store are paid.

A 64-bit Intel or AMD PC with 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended), 25 GB of disk space and graphics with a kernel (KMS) driver. See the system requirements.

Yes. Maniac OS needs no internet connection for everyday use. You need one to install apps from the Store or Flathub, to sign in to your Maniac ID and to buy apps. Once installed, the apps you bought work offline too — their licences don’t expire.

App updates arrive through Store › Updates. New versions of Maniac OS are announced in the release notes and published on the Download page.

Yes, if you install Maniac OS on a second disk — the installer uses a whole disk and erases it. Trying Maniac OS from the USB stick changes nothing on your PC.
