Refund policy

If an app you bought from Maniac Lab isn’t right for you, you can ask for your money back within 14 days of buying it. This page explains how.

In short

• Ask within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason.
• The refund is paid by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller, to your original payment method.
• After the refund the licence ends: our licence server revokes it, and your PCs remove it.

Who sells the apps

Apps are sold by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles VAT and refunds. We look at refund requests and ask Lemon Squeezy to make the refund.

How to ask

1. Write to support@maniaclab.app within 14 days of the purchase — from the e-mail address you used at checkout, if you can.
2. Tell us the app and your order number (it is in Lemon Squeezy’s receipt e-mail). A line about what went wrong helps us improve, but you don’t have to give a reason.
3. We confirm by e-mail once the refund has been made.

When the money arrives

The full amount you paid, including any VAT, goes back to the card or account you paid with. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.

What happens to the app

When the refund is made, Lemon Squeezy informs our licence server, which at once:

• marks the purchase as refunded in your Maniac ID;
• revokes the app’s licences for all your PCs, and stops issuing new licences and downloads for that purchase.

Each PC removes the app’s licence the next time it connects to your Maniac ID while online, for example when you open the Store or Settings. After that the app no longer opens.

Files you made with the app — documents, images, photos and projects — stay on your PC and are not deleted. If you use Clinic, make a backup or export your patients as CSV before you ask for a refund, because Clinic’s database is encrypted and opens only in Clinic.

After 14 days

After 14 days we don’t normally refund a purchase. That doesn’t affect your legal rights: if an app is faulty or doesn’t work as described, write to us whenever you bought it, and we will fix the problem or, where the law provides for it, refund you.

Right of withdrawal

As the Terms explain, apps are digital content delivered immediately, so the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ends once the download has started. This refund policy is a promise we make on top of that.

Fair use

We may decline a request where this policy is clearly being misused, for example by buying and refunding the same app again and again.

Maniac OS

Maniac OS is free, so there is nothing to refund.
